It’s a fact that women initiate over 85% of the divorces in this country. This isn’t because women are less happy than men in a marriage, they just know they have a huge advantages in divorce - both financially and regarding child custody.
The deck is stacked in a woman’s favor, especially when she’s also a mother. It’s been said, “marriage is nothing more than an insurance policy for the woman.” And there’s a lot of truth to that statement.
The law clearly favors women and mothers in a divorce. Anybody who tells you otherwise is a liar or ignorant of the divorce laws in this country. The people you encounter in the family law system often have a strong gender bias or hidden agendas. The vast majority of these people are not accountable to anyone. This situation is the perfect example of, “absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
